Designed as waypoints throughout the community for residents to rest their legs and find their bearings, The Camps at Trailhead are welcoming places to pause and reflect or to gather and connect.

While each Camp is distinctive, some common themes are woven into their fabric: rustic shelters, plenty of seating, interpretive signage with trail maps and local lore, and intimate connections to their mountain settings. Each of these ‘stopping points’ is designed to enrich the trail experience at the heart of the community’s identity—opportunities to pause and appreciate the wilderness as you explore the trails that lace the community and the surrounding Trailhead Preserve.

The Trailhead community plan includes six Camps:

1

Spike Camp: Name for the camps used by hunters and forestry crews, Spike Camp resides at the confluence of several trails in Trailhead Preserve—a place to refuel the body or adjust equipment at the tool station.

2

Base Camp: Situated atop a high crest, Base Camp’s panoramic vistas are the reward for the steep singletrack hike to reach it.

3

Switchback Camp: This high vantage point in Trailhead’s upper reaches affords fantastic views of sunsets over the Lizard headwall.

4

Creekside Camp: Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of Lizard Creek before you head up Springboard Trail to your Trailhead home.

5

Boardman Camp: Situated on Boardman Creek, this relatively central camp is a great place to cross paths with fellow Trailhead owners.

6

The Warming Hut: A key meet-up spot and departure point along Trailhead’s ski-in/ski-out system, this cozy hut has a large indoor fireplace, plenty of seating and a spacious deck overlooking Boardman Creek.
